Coig na Shee is a stunning 1903 Edwardian lodge, set in mature grounds, on the edge of the Highland village of Newtonmore.
Here you will find no chintz, no regency stripes, no tartan, just peace, quiet, and of course, great breakfasts.
Coig na Shee exists because we want to offer accommodation that we'd want to stay in ourselves, which means getting everything right, such as a friendly welcome, stylish rooms and a spectacular setting.
However, getting everything right also means paying attention to the smallest details, which is why all our bedlinen is crisp and white, why you'll find fresh coffee and a cafetiere in your room, along with your own mini fridge for your fresh milk.
Perhaps these are the reasons the cast and crew of the BBC TV series, Monarch of the Glen, chose Coig na Shee as their Highland home during filming.
Situated in the perfect, tranquil setting of Newtonmore, in the heart of the Spey Valley in beautiful Badenoch and Strathspey we are perfectly placed for short breaks, walking holidays and all sorts of outdoor acivities. Or even for doing absolutely nothing more than enjoying the diverse and spectacular beauty of the Cairngorms National Park.
